Boom! Q4 2016 is over. There will be a separate digest for the entire year coming in a few weeks while we argue GOTY out.
This quarter I’ve (Jason) spent a lot of time learning the ins and outs of video recording for more video reviews after feedback suggesting people would prefer that format. I’ve been getting good and bad feedback on those so hopefully you’ll see the videos improve over the course of 2017.
Warhammer games disappointed this quarter - especially Eternal Crusade which shouldn’t have been released in its current state. I don’t really think there is a lot of hope of it making a come back given the damage it’s done releasing so early. I think Space Hulk: Deathwing stands a chance of becoming good if it’s supported properly for the next few months and if they iron out some of the issues.
We highly recommend Battlefield 1. It’s an excellent multiplayer shooter.
If you have a PlayStation 4 it should probably be compulsory to own or at least have played this game, it really is that good. I strongly recommend you give it a try.
I highly recommend Redout - we haven’t had a genuinely good title in this niche for the PC that I can recall and Redout does not disappoint.
While I don’t think Briagor will be everyone’s cup of tea, I certainly enjoyed it and recommend it.
I recommend Titanfall 2, it’s a solid arcadey first person shooter with awesome mechanoids.
