2016 q1

Hi guys, well, Q1 has gone very quickly! Both of us loved XCOM 2, it's going to be difficult to shift from such a high position...

XCOM 2

This game is beautiful, the graphical upgrade makes XCOM:EU look like an early PlayStation game in comparison. The level of customisation for your soldiers has been raised a level too - some clever people are sharing their favourite action heroes recreated in XCOM garb. I’m really enjoying XCOM 2, if this kind of game interests you, don’t hesitate and just get it now.

Ori and the Blind Forest

I really loved Ori and the Blind Forest, I strongly urge you to give it a go, especially with the definitive edition due out so soon.

Tom Clancy's The Division

We both really enjoyed the content from levels 1 to 30, but the content at 30 is a bit on the dull side. Recommended.

The Witness

I didn’t enjoy playing The Witness, it was like playing an expensive puzzle book. There just wasn’t any sense of achievement or desire to progress for me. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Rebel Galaxy

I had a bit of a love/hate relationship with Rebel Galaxy, so it sits firmly in the middle of the rating system. It is a good bit of fun and unlocking new ships gives a real sense of achievement. I played for a good 16 hours before wanting to move onto something else. The downsides are the lack of variety in gameplay, periods of grinding for cash and the story, which although nicely created, didn’t immerse me in any way.
